Safety Protocols

Anyone who does not have a McMaster ID is required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination before arriving on campus. Visitors, contractors, volunteers, and community members are asked to use the McMaster Safety App to provide proof of full COVID-19 vaccination at least one hour before their first time on campus. If a visitor is not approved to be on campus, they are kindly requested NOT to enter the building.

Participants and researchers will be provided with additional instructions required for their study.

Physical Distancing / Capacity Limits

All visitors/patrons must maintain a physical distance of at least two metres from others. Performers must maintain a physical distance of at least two metres from any audience members or spectators.

Capacity for each room is based on the current allowable limit of 30% of the usual seating capacity or the number of people that can maintain a physical distance of 2 metres (depending on the space). Maximum capacities are posted outside all spaces. Reservations are required for seated events.

Face Coverings

All visitors, patrons and staff are required to wear masks when inside the building. Dancers working alone in the studio are not required to wear a mask.

Performing artists are not required to wear a face covering while performing or rehearsing for a performance. We encourage artists to respect the wishes of those they are working with in regard to keeping masks on while rehearsing.

All other visitors not physically engaged in the rehearsal and/or performance (choreographer, designer, outside eye, etc.) are required to wear a mask at all times. Masks must be worn at all times when in the washrooms and in the lobby.

The studio, theatre, washrooms, green room and lobby are thoroughly cleaned on a regular basis (including all high-touch surfaces and studio floors).

Food and Drink

No food and beverages allowed in the theatre.
