Volunteer to Participate in Research
Participate as a student with our LIVELab and MIMM researchers. Join our LIVEPeople database. When you qualify for a study, you will be contacted and given more details about the research project.
Your confidentiality will be respected and no information that discloses your identity will be released or published unless required by law. Your information will remain on a secure server in the McMaster LIVELab that can only be accessed by a research participant coordinator or technical director. When you participate in a study, no personal information is shared with researchers and you will only be identified by anonymous codes. You can withdraw from a research study at any time even if you have already provided consent. The participant pool for LIVELab has been reviewed and cleared by the McMaster Research Ethics Board.
Opportunities
Music Cognition Undergraduate Specialization Learn More
Students enrolled in programs in Psychology, Neuroscience & Behaviour; Music; or Arts and Science can apply for the Specialization in Music Cognition. The program is unique within all North America universities, providing students with a double background in cognitive neuroscience and music, thus preparing them for interdisciplinary research into the cognitive psychology and cognitive neuroscience of music.

Students enrolled in graduate programs in Psychology, Neuroscience and Behaviour, Electrical Engineering, Linguistics and Languages, MINDS, Computational Science & Engineering may have the opportunity to engage in research in the LIVELab.
