Neeraj Prem is virtuoso sitarist and leader in the modern movement of Indian music as a sought after performer, and teacher. He is a composer who has mastered both classical technique, folk, Gazals or world fusion music and adroit improvisation and who, at the same time, is exceptionally comfortable as a performer too. Shagird (student) of USTAD SHUJAAT KHAN, Neeraj belongs to the Ustad Vilayat Khan Gharana of Hindustani Music. He has managed to, in time, develop a niche for himself in the music scenario as one of the most versatile Sitarists of our times He has performed widely at various venues and auspicious occasions solo as well as with other great Masters Touring as far as Africa,Europe,North America, India and the list goes on.Neeraj’s debut musical album, Sounds of India, which is recorded partly in both India and Canada, has been one of the best sellers in the music community and has also been awarded Dofasco Hamilton Music Awards for special instrumentalist of the year 2004, and best cultural recording of the year 2004. Neeraj has also been honored by the prestigious PANDIT NIKHILBANERJEE MUSIC AWARD By Sangeet Bhawan (Lucknow) in Indiafor the year 2005. Dr. Bruce Harding is a multi-instrumentalist (flutes, vocal, guitar, bass and djembe), composer, and music producer from Surrey, BC, a versa-tile artist, Musicologist with many albums to his credit. He tours regularly across Canada, and beyond singing and playing for audiences large and small. Bruce Harding was born in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, into a family which still believed in the time honoured tradition of family music-making despite the increasing prevalence of television, stereo etc.
